I'm currently sitting in a parking lot because both kids fell sound asleep on the way home from the store. They were so crabby this afternoon that I'm enjoying the silence until it's time for me to go home.

I let my charges watch tv all afternoon a couple of times a week and I go shopping with the littlest one at least 3 times a week for personal shopping. I have also taken some food and cleaning supplies home. I am underpaid so I do not feel guilty.

OP I've done the same exact thing. Kids who only get short naps usually wake up crabbier than when they fell asleep. There's no harm in just letting them sleep in the car for a while!

As for me when my kids are being particularly whiny, i let them play on my hone for about 15 or so minutes. I know the parents do it too, but it just gives me a chance to breathe for a minute and relax quietly. FYI I work with older kids, 4 and 6 now.

Hmm, it can be split 50/50 at times, or sometimes just outright nasty.

Light hearted is not really what these forums are known for. Silly confessions usually turn into people making up outrageous stories or telling real ones that you WISH were fake.

No need to keep to yourself, but you need to watch what you ask for and beware the crazies on here. It's quite cutthroat at times, just keep your back against the wall and you should be fine.

Oh dear. Everyone does have a first time they found the forum. For some it might have been years ago and someone else it might have been today. We know you must be one of the jaded regulars by the comments that you make, but maybe OP is new.

That said, OP - by posting this kind of topic on the forums (and after there is another easily found thread already), you are definitely asking for trouble.

I have no idea why people think I'm making this up. I found this forum a couple weeks ago and thought it would be nice to connect with other nannies. I thought people would be friendlier.

Btw, to the poster who told me to go to bed, it was about 4:30 CST when I posted. Even toddlers don't go to bed that early.

All I was trying to do was start a light hearted discussion about silly confessions. I guess I'll keep it to myself from now on.

Go to bed. You already started a nanny connfession and you just figured the first time was a success so now you're making up another bogus story. You are really weird. Get out there and get a life before it passes you by.
