Glad they are enjoying! I was the PP who posted the two links with some suggestions. Part of the reason why I love DCUM is to share ideas and experiences with fellow nannies.

Some really great ideas if you google.

Monday have them make pirate cookies.
Tuesday, have them create their own treasure chests.
Wednesday, go for a treasure hunt.
Thursday, have them do an activity book that you can print online for free
Friday, party day with the show and lots of snacks.

Hope that helps!

This!

Also, you can have them make their own pirate scopes by using the cardboard rolls from toilet paper or bounty. Have them decorate the cardboard with paint, chalk, crayons, and/or markers. Then use a rubber band to attach a thin film of colored see-through plastic to one end. I remember doing this as a kid myself. Also, have them make their own pirate hats that they can wear for the party.

And if you really want to go all out for the party, have them make easy pirate themed decorations. Like make party streamers by having the children loop slips of construction paper... The color of the paper can be geared towards the color scheme of the main characters clothing. And I really like the Palm Tree Sandwiches. You can also try and find other pirate themed cookie cutters (e.g. treasure chest, parrot, ship, etc.). And the sandwiches can be as simple as cheese (grilled or not), a cheese and turkey sandwich, etc.

I am planning to have a jake the pirate theamed week with the kids and on friday have a party with the neighbors kids and watch the episode. Anyone have ideas on some of the things I can plan this week?
