Banks always give you temporary checks to use when you open a new account and the imprinted ones usually arrive within a few weeks. Sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one on you. I agree to file a return anyway. Keep a record of your hours and when you were paid and amounts.

Don't worry about it. They are on the hook for the deductions whether or not they paid them. If you never get a W-2, just fill out your taxes as a missing W-2 as the previous poster said.

File your taxes as a missing w2. Your former employers will be on the hook for all of the taxes if they weren't withholding.

Worked for a family last year for about 3 months and mom didn't have any checks yet from their bank. Long story short she always paid cash and detucted out what would have been the taxes. Called 2 weeks ago, she claimed her husband mailed the w2 but she would resend them. 2 weeks later still no w2. I personally think they were pocketing the tax money and never paid which is why I have no w2. How do I find out if they have paid the taxes also my ss and etc? Any help appreciated
