Are your employers taking the kids with them or are you off (with pay) next week? If you are off, they should pay you this Friday since you won't be there to receive a check. If you are working, they could have leave a check with whomever is with the kids during your non-work hours to give you on payday. If you are watching the kids around the clock until they get back, they should trust you enough to either pay you in full Friday or leave a post-dated check for you.
