Where the nanny is allowed to take the kids??
When I did a share, I took the kids anywhere I wanted. The parents looked to me for endless advice. That's the difference between a professional and a sitter. You'd be in trouble if you left anything, up to the sitter's judgement. Therefore, she indeed needs a very thick "rule book".
OP do not fall for this type of nanny. She is in no way a professional just a scammer who wants to run all over town with your kids in tow.
We sat down with our nanny and came up with a list of mutually acceptable places that they would go. Our nanny is encouraged to add things to the list and unlike the above poster is not a bad nanny who thinks spending the day at the mall doing her own shopping is a good activity. In the interview, we were upfront that shopping malls and fast food places would be off limits as would driving on the beltway or trips further than 15-20 minutes away. Every professional candidate was fine with this. A few inexperienced 20 somethings looked disappointed but we would not have hired them anyway.
