Being that my DD sleeps either in her crib or stroller I would be alarmed to see the manny squished in there with her. If she was in his lap and fell asleep and he decided to stay on the couch and nap too, that'd be okay.

I co nap with my charge. She doesn't co sleep though. It makes her happy to be cuddled. Mom is fine with it.

It baffles me how many MBs are on this board asking what's ok to do to the nanny. Then shock, when she quits.

It always baffles me how so many nannies come on this board to ask strangers if it is okay to do certain things with their charges. Ask the parents!

They don't care, just wondering how other nannies felt.

I think it's fine as long as your MB and DB are ok with it! I am totally OK with it -- my nanny does this, but sometimes she gets up and leaves the room but she lies down with my babe to get him to fall asleep.

I never did it on a regular basis but occasionally I would. They co slept with the baby at night so sometimes I couldn't get her to nap unless I was holding her or laying next to her, and yes sometimes I fell asleep.

Is it appropriate?
