For sure an infant share w/ 2 babies is not the right job if you are hoping to bring your baby too. Decide what is most important - bringing your child, or the wages at a prospective job.

No way would I agree to let nanny bring her child to an infant share - 3 infants totally defeats the point of using a nanny - regardless of any discount. AT that point, why wouldn't you just use a daycare that is actually set up for that ratio level?
If you really want to bring your child, find a family who is offering lowish wages - they will be price sensitive and more open to letting you bring child in exchange for a lower rate than you'd get elsewhere.

Get a job with a 2 or 3 year old. Then bringing your baby shouldn't be such a big deal. You need a helper of you do 'triplets'.

If it's a really good offer, you should take it. A lot of women go back to work with children (nurses, teachers, daycare providers) and leave their own children because they need a paycheck.

If you really reget it later, you can quit, but the job won't be waiting for you if you don't take it.

The bigger problem with three for me as a MB is that it would be difficult to ever take them out together unless we bought a super-expensive stroller. Babywearing works for many occasions, but if you're not into that, you've got three non-walkers to move around.

Not to mention, I wouldn't try to do triplets on my own!

If you brought your baby, would you be willing to pay for (through a wage decrease) a third of the nanny share? This may be appealing for some people, though honestly, it is not the situation I would choose for my baby. Newborns are a lot of work and very demanding. Taking care of 3 babies is a big workload, and one that always requires prioritizing. I would be worried that you wouldn't be able to overcome your natural instinct to care for your baby first. And with three infants, the chance that 2 are crying at the same time is high.

I could make more being a nanny than doing in home care without a license. Plus I live in an apartment, so doing in home care is not really a good option. I may see about bringing my baby along part of the time. Otherwise, I'll be leaving my baby behind with family to go to an office job.

Explore doing child care in your own home, or in another home. Do not leave your newborn behind. That's to screwed up for a nanny to do.

I have a good lead on a nanny share job with two newborn infants beginning in the Spring, right around the time my maternity leave will be up from having my first child. I will have the option to have family care for my baby while I work. I really love being an infant nanny and if I can continue to do so after I have my own, that would be great and I need to continue working. However, does it seem strange to leave my own baby to go and care for two other babies? I feel comfortable that I would have family helping me out, but I wonder if I should ask if I can ever bring my own with me, but I wondered if three babies would be too much to handle.
