Why not ask your insurance person?

So my nanny slipped and fell the other day while working. Nothing major but we think its best if she gets it checked out. My question is would it be better for us to just pay for it or to file a workmans comp claim? Do we gaet penalized if she were to file? Any one been through this? Thanks
