As a FTM, I wanted a nanny with specific newborn experience. As an experienced mom, I realize that was a joke. Newborns are much easier than older infants and toddlers. I would not hestitate to leave a nanny with a newborn, as long as I thought she was a good and trustworthy nanny generally and she had infant first aid training.

I've worked as a nanny for a 2 year old for about 6 months now. I have a lot of experience working with toddlers and older babies like 10 months and under. found out accidentally through the grandpa that MB is pregnant, but they haven't told me this.. I am wondering if they haven't told me because they have "concerns" about if I have enough experience to take care of the newborn... I could be just paranoid.. I know people like to wait before they tell people. Anyway, MBs, what do you think? Would you let your nanny watch your newborn if she doesn't have any experience with newborns?
