Last year I gave 2 nights, for 5 hours each. IIRC, they tipped me $40 each time.

I really don't think it's a good idea as a gift. I did once offer as a way to thank them for allowing me to drive their car out of town for the weekend, so of course it's a judgement call in each situation. They never took me up on it, by the way.

Id do X amount of hours. Ive seen parents take this offer and abuse it by having nanny work 7-1am or some ridiculous shit!

I'd do max 5 hours
