Actually this is exactly what it says, which is subtly different: " Holiday or year end bonuses are OPTIONAL - and are reportedly paid by about half of our clients."
I am guessing that some other subset that doesn't report it on payroll actually does give a bonus, KWIM? In any event, it is not 100% for sure. Giving a bonus at all probably largely depends on the relationship between nanny and the family? While the amount of the bonus has a lot more complex factors including how well the nanny is compensated already, the financial means of the family, and more.
