I know you're not really supposed to ask questions that could put ideas in their heads. But have you asked her who shows her these movies/shows?

Yes, you need to call CPS. You also need to look for another job, because you will probably be fired. Since you've brought up the issue, the parents will likely assume it was you who called.

or at the very lead have been exposed to VERY inappropriate movies, TV programs. but the fact the the parents just say TO is very strange to me.

I agree that she may be being/or have been abused.

did they have another nanny before you? is this behavior learned from the previous nanny? i am a MB with a 4 year old girl and the most she knows is that her brother has different private parts than she does (and they bathe together all the time). this is abnormal. SOMEONE needs reported.

but... the parents saying put her in TO when she talks like that? I WOULD FUCKING FLIP MY GD LID IF I KNEW MY 4 YO DAUGHTER WAS TALKING ABOUT SEX ACTS. yes, she does play with herself -- occasionally - and doesn't do it much anymore.

The frequent touching herself wouldn't concern me, but the knowledge of different sex acts would.

I have started working with a new family, with an infant sin and four-year-old daughter. I'm a week in and already extremely uncomfortable with the daughters behavior. She is very sexually aware, too much, I've worked with children for 10+ years and this child knows more about sex than I do. She comments on my body, on the body of the girl on tv, on the size of her brothers penis, she's spoken of different sexual acts, and I ask her how she knew, and she just mentions TV. She is also chronically masterbating, I know self exploration at this age is normal, but I'm constantly telling her to remove her hands from her pants, or go to her room, that she needs to do that in private. Literally, she is more obsessed with nudity and sex than a 14-year-old boy. I've talked to her parents and they seemed surprised, and say to put her in time out when she talks like that.

Does this sound like she could be abused, because I'm very close to calling CPS.
