You have an opportunity to help shape a whole new community- personally I like that idea! Change sucks, many of us from the "OLD" DCUM disliked or hated the change to the new software and having lost years of posts that are in the archived forums. Once people quit complaining and embraced it it turned into the DCUM that some (or many) of you started with. Change is good and keeps the world moving forward.
Besides, with all the negativity on the DC forum... Frankly, this one is a fresh start. Why start it off with negativity and complaining? It actually takes work to run these forums- handling all the technical issues/etc. it's not a small undertaking that Jeff & Maria would launch simply to try and get out of area nannies off the DC forum.
+10000
Let's actually work to keep this forum professional and helpful. It would be so nice to have a place to exchange ideas, get advice, etc with having other posters scream TROLL every 5 seconds or complain about "entitled nannies" who have questions about fair wages. I'm actually really excited about this.
Thanks Jeff!
