To pretend that you have to debate your kid about hair color is stupid. Our nanny has a tattoo, DD is 4 and said she wants a "taloo" of Elmo on her face, I told her when she turns 18 she can get whatever she wants.

Its about time for parents to stop pretending that they have no say in what their kids do. The nanny does not lay the ground work of the person your kid will become, you do. If you have to depend on the nanny for that, then you aren't doing your job as a parent.

You're the type of parent who would be okay with your child becoming a heroin addicted prostitute, so long as it happens when they're 18. Given that's probably when you started yourself. As they say, to each their own. For the rest of the world, we want what's best for our children and exposure to weirdos who have the priority of expressing themselves through tats and piercings vs. making sure they can keep a job is not the kind of example I want to show to my kids. But again, different strokes. If you want to post an email, I'll be glad to steer all of the druggy pierced and dyed weirdos that try to apply for my nanny jobs your way.
