Our au pair has a huge basement apartment all for herself beside the laundry room we use. My sister and her two kids are visiting soon. We have an extra guest bedroom but it small and only one shower for the kids and whoever will use the guest room. It makes sense to temporary make au pair use the guests room and put family in the basement. AuPair is pretty easy going and will probably not argue but I wonder what do you all think? Anyone ever did that? TIA
Well, your Nanny is part of your FAMILY now. Don't move her. Your sister and her kids should get a hotel room. If the kids are old enough and want to stay with their favorite aunt and uncle, let them stay and your sister can get a room nearby. Or give your au pair the week off and give her a bonus to visit friends relatives etc. Whatever you do, don't move your au pair. We treat our au pair better than family. She's taking care of your child or children....
