You sound like you don't like the nanny and whatever the issue, she is not providing value for your family for what you are paying her. I'd sign both my kids up for all day and do dropoffs and save the $30k/year. If you are swimming in money or extraordinarily short on time such that this is impossible I agree and I'd find someone for the same way for a new position that includes more household management tasks -- wrapping gifts, planning meals, doing errands, and possibly more light housekeeping.
