It wasn't just the number of messages but somehow after 2 messages she convinced herself that we had already spoken and were now negotiating. One of the messages was something like " Just trying to catch you to return your call, I got your message Mrs X and I'm so glad we agree on X. We're just perfect for each other." It kept progressing and if she hadn't used my name I would have thought she misdialed but no. It was hilarious and bizarre.

One candidate actually squealed loudly into the phone when I told her DC was a 3 yr old girl. She then went on and on about how she loves little girls, would raise her to be a good southern belle and is so glad she's not a boy because are "bad little things". I got her off the phone by telling her that my youngest child was a boy and that I'm a yankee.

One candidate had terrible grammar (not ESL, just uneducated slang and poor grammar) but wanted $25 an hour because she was college educated from a local community college. She really needed to ask for a refund. She had listed 10 years of nanny experience but she was 21. She explained this as starting "nannying" for her younger sibling at age 11 when her mother would go to the store. She had no real nanny experience.
