Ma'am you are the weird one and everyone that agrees with you. Life is short it's not that deep not to mention this woman is caring for your kids and when the kids nap and there's nothing to do why not. I worked for several families who offered me to use their workout equipment while their children sleep because they know I like being active and I'm not a TV watcher. You guys need to lighten up!
What’s weird is that the only things you can think of doing while the kids sleep is watch TV or workout. How lazy do you have to be that you wouldn’t work on other kid stuff like laundry, meal and activity plan, organizing/tidying up, etc. with all the time you have? You’re literally wasting your employer’s money.
Well, I am not a housekeeper I AM A NANNY the end!!!! YOU just wasted your time typing that nonsense ..
NP. I wouldn’t mind the nanny working out if there’s downtime but you seriously wouldn’t spend an extra minute helping out your employers with chores like kids’ laundry or tidying up their toys? And what if you get injured on the equipment? I’m guessing you’d file for worker’s comp or lawsuit?
I perfected my job to the point that I know how to interact with the children I care for and tidy up as I go so when it’s nap time for them I am free to decompress for that time. I work smarter not harder and NO I wouldn’t file anything if I get hurt working out because I chose to workout so it’s my fault, not everyone is out to get a quick dollar. Every family I’ve worked for loves me because I’m not lazy, I do my job well, I hate TV, I don’t complain, I educate their children, love them and keep them safe. So a simple thing like walking on a treadmill while they sleep they really don’t fuss about. I don’t have the same experiences as other Nannies thankfully I’m blessed to say I’ve worked for great people my entire career.
This is all sounds well and good until something actually happens. You would surely want your employers to compensate when medical bills pile up and workers comp doesn't cover.
