You just sprung it on her when she arrived, and she was not prepared in a way that was comfortable for her. She already said she would be prepared next time and follow your rule. Some people aren't comfortable going barefoot in other peoples house or places that are not their own homes! If this is such an issue for you, then you should have shoe booties for guests. - Someone who has a no shoes policy at home, but doesn't require that guests who are not previously aware of the policy remove their shoes[/quote]
