I make the same as you and I found my job through them. I never found them to be stuck up. In fact, they helped me work through a difficult situation during my transition from one family to another. [/quote]

They told me the range that “most” nannies get but also said that the negotiation of salary and benefits were between the family and me. Why would they encourage you to stick to that range (especially the lower end) when they make their money off of commission based on your salary? I obviously can’t speak for others but I personally enjoyed working with them and found a job within a decent timeframe. [/quote]
I can only imagine they "encourage" their "creme de la creme" nannies to stick to that range so they can convince their potential clients that their nannies are totally "affordable"!

The question we should all be asking is:
If the "salary negotiation is between the family and the nanny", why are they "encouraging" a price range in the first place?

What does everyone think about this?
