This one comes from a state where the minimum wage is ten dollars an hours. We are looking for a part time nanny to care for our infant. Baby is not due until the end of July but we are trying to get a jump on things. We are looking for someone Monday 9am-1pm, Tuesday 9am-5pm, and Wednesday 9am-5 p.m. to watch our baby at our house. We will also need you to pick up our daughter from daycare on Tuesday and Wednesday by 2:30 p.m. My husband will be home on Monday the entire time and on Tuesday and Wednesday until 1:30 p.m. My husband is a bartender so he works weird hours. I run two preschools and have a background in Child Development so education is really important to us. We are looking for someone to start the end of October but the date may change depending on when baby decides to make his/her debut. We are looking to pay a flat monthly amount of $750. We will pay you for sick days and vacation days.
So they are essentially paying $9/hr but claiming education is really important to them. Not to mention, the husband is a bartender so I don’t believe it’s that important to him. What educated person would stay at $9/hr for only 20 hours a week, while also watching 2 kids part of the time with a parent home.
Depends on the month. For June it’s almost nine an hour but for July it would only be about eight an hour because of the extra days. Why would any nanny agree to a monthly rate?!??! Sounds like they need to consider daycare. Not to mention can you imagine how hard it would be to keep both kids quiet so Dad could sleep?
