No two payment schemes are the same. Ditto for commutes, firm culture, manager, etc. Sometimes supply of professionals is way up, so salaries are depressed, etc. If you want more money (if this is what you mainly value), then you must negotiate hard and them prove your worth (lest get fired), OR work very hard and demand more pay.
