I feel the same way and so does every MB I know.  The texting must stop or our nanny will be given final notice as well.  We have told her several times and actually put it in writing this last time.  Like you, I encourage her to use her entire lunch break (2 hours) to text or talk to her friends while the baby is asleep - but that is it.

And to the drunk nanny who keeps throwing out incoherent barbs - I have never once been late coming home, I have never once asked our nanny to do anything beyond our agreement, and I respect her off hours and personal life 100%.   It's time she respected the DEMANDS of her job as outlined and agreed upon by both of us.    [/quote]

We are currently paying our nanny $20 an hour with generous benefits.  Yes, I will gladly pay more to get a nanny who is good and does not text when she is being paid to watch my child.  [/quote]
