The only person who called it a "professional journal" is the MB who was planning to buy a subscription for her nanny as a "gift". Its not a professional journal, but it is a professional venture (at least that's what they'd like us to believe) and the people associated with it ought to conduct themselves professionally. That means choosing the people to represent you wisely, and when people misrepresent you, you disassociate. Nanny Magazine has done none of those things.
The girls who misrepresented them deserve a break. Would your MB fire you if you messed up a little on your first day of the job? Isn't that basically what happened here? NM is new and this was their first time going to this conference. cut them some slack and learn what forgiveness is all about. Plus just because the people who represent them made a mistake doesn't mean it wasn't dealt with privately behind closed doors. Would you want to get fired because you messed up once? From what I know it was one psycho nanny from Michigan who physically assaulted the Nm staff. She should have been arrested and should have her MB know that someone who physically assaulted an adult should not be allowed to work with children who presumably cannot defend themselves.
OMG. What was the story behind that? Why did the nanny attack the staff?
There was a nanny who traveled to the conference and physically assaulted a staff person of NM. It in unknown why but I would fear for the safety of the children she watches. Quite frankly I think it's sad that people use violence and cruelty to try to make their point.
