I happen to work for a hi profile family and when they have work (films, tv etc) yes I have a lot of work and long hours. So call me crazy. And no I am not working for disposable income. Someone has to be with the kids while parents are working.

People who brag about themselves or what they have or how much they have or how much better they are than everyone else usually have low self-esteems and are very insecure. You are right about that. All of that, in my opinion, is a way of getting attention. It's annoying, incessant, and these kinds of people have no appreciation for others. Very drainining to endure their foolishness.
