Hired childcare is not exempt from market reality inspite of your wishes. If it's the common norm for your sitter to hang on her phone all day, and you pay her 15-17/hr, you get what you pay for. If you pay beyond these norms for exceptional service, that's what you'll get. Obviously, due diligence required in the hiring process. When you pay your 25/hr., Nanny knows that those jobs aren't a dime a dozen, so she's motivated to produce exceptional performance to match her exceptional compensation package. [/quote]
