But, never, NEVER leave your child with a person who is behaving "off". Learn to trust your gut. Nothing is more important than your child's basic safety. Nothing. Ever. Not even your "second income" that you think your family can't live without.

Spare us all this rationalization for blaming the mother instead of the nanny.  I get it - you are a nanny, too, so you have to blame the mother.  Good to know why you are so determined to find her at fault.  But you still are on record as saying that parents are responsible if their children are murdered because parents bear the basic responsibility for their safety.

FYI:  the nanny was being cranky and stressed - not brandishing guns or talking about the voices in her heads.  No rational person would leap to the conclusion that she was planning to stab her charges.  You think you can judge that with the benefit of your "expertise" but you are just delusional.  You get to look at what happened and pretend that you would have known.  But that is just complete and utter bull.  So get off your judgmental high horse before some parent righteously slaps you for your insolence.[/quote]
