So many excuses! Stay off your damn phones!
This. No other profession uses phones as much as nannies do. Even telemarketers use phones less.
SAHMs, in my experience, are on their phones far more than nannies.
This. Childcare givers, nannies and parents, should not be on their phones when watching their children/charges in a public space. It just isn’t safe.
You make no rules. Do you and let others do them.
Nonsense. Dangerous is dangerous - like texting while driving.
And yet I’m paying attention to my charges and their friends, while the nannies not on their phones sit and yak. I clean up their charges, then get the stink eye when their charge runs to show them the cool “insert clearance cartoon character” bandaid. Yes, my charges get hurt, just like others do. Skinned knees, blistered hands, bumped heads can’t be avoided when kids play all out, take managed risks and push themselves to do better and more.
