A teacher is clearly not the same as a nanny who is in the child’s home from birth to three years old (OP’s situation) and takes care of everything a parent would do in terms of bonding, love and care.  OP was the only adult home to provide the child’s needs.  I don’t know about RAD but I think it’s common sense that to have this nanny simply vanish after three years is most definitely bad for the child.
