Most of these poor women have to go back to their employers home and clean with this being their only time to get personal business done via text and have other adult contact with someone who speaks their language. But I agree - parents should always see what their foolish economy gets them with a nanny when they cannot see them on nanny cams.
Ohhh, I see the light now. Everything makes so much more sense. I thought all this time that when nannies get paid for their time, it was to do work and not have personal time. I see that MBs get to pay money for the nannies to have personal time now. This must be a new thing.
I work 24/7. When would you like me to take care of my personal business? My DB has no issues with me making phone calls, as long as the kids are watched while I do so, nor does he mind if I add one or two stops on the way to or from the house, as long as it's not every day.
Take care of your personal business when the children are napping. Not hard. I have always done this and never missed anything.
And when there are no naps? I don't work with young infants, and my charges never nap past two. When there are also older sibling(s), naptime is a reduction in the number of kids to supervise, isn't not my time to do whatever I want.
Work it out. Make your very short personal business calls (car mechanic, dentist, etc) while the kids are in the house and under your supervision. NOT when they are out of the safe environment of their home. I cannot believe I have to explain this to you.
