I do the grocery shopping along with Costco, target and whatever else needs to be picked up. we keep a list and the parents add to it if they need/want something. I do all the cooking, packing of lunches so it just makes sense. I somet sometimes have the two younger kids with me while the older ones are in school.
You sound like Alice, every mother's dream. I hope they pay you well for all that work.
She's a doirmat.
She is not. She is an organized nanny who is good at multitasking. I have always done some grocery shopping in all my positions and I actually enjoy it. I also prepare most of the meals for my charges, so I find that it's just easier to be the one doing the shopping to make sure you get all the ingredients you need. My current charges are 2 year old triplets and we do about 1/2 of the grocery shopping. DB also does some shopping and is good about picking things up whenever I ask him. My charges love to go to the grocery store with me and we always have fun. They get a bagel from the bakery and are always happy to help my pick out the fruits and vegetables that we need from the produce department. They also have fun counting things and interacting with people while we are out and about. Before anyone puts me down and calls me a doormat, I get paid very well and I extremely happy in this job. I've been here 2 years and this is by far the best family I've ever worked for.
Thanks for backing me up!! We seem to handle things similarly! Enjoy your grocery outings with the triplets!! :)
