If you were assaulted while walking in the dark, then you certainly do/should have a heightened sense of fear when you are in that situation. While it's reasonable in any situation to ask your NF to turn the light on for you, in this situation, your NF should have a greater awareness of how vulnerable you feel alone in the dark. Have you told them about this? Not saying that you have to, but if you explain why, exactly, this is so important to you, then I am sure you would have a better chance of them complying with your request. [/quote]
