+1.  I would pay more for a true professional, meaning someone with a degree in early childhood education and a commitment to preparing written development plans and implementing age-appropriate, play-based lessons and activities in the same way a preschool teacher or good daycare teacher would do.  Most of the "high end" nannies I've spoken with don't want to bother with that.  To them, planning activities means arranging play dates and taking the kids to the library or the park.  Far too often, "high end" just means experienced.  A couple of years of experience is desirable, but beyond that, I'm more interested in training, education and what you do on the job as opposed to how many years you've done it for.[/quote]
