Research surrogacy fees.  You are shortchanging your nanny.

Also, it's a terrible idea.  If you want a surrogate, talk to an agency that specializes in this.  The legal issues alone are head-spinningly complex.  What if the nanny doesn't want to give the baby to you after she delivers?  What if there is a serious fetal defect and you want her to have an abortion and she doesn't want to (or vice-versa)?

And I want to add my voice to the people who said that asking someone to carry a child, give birth, and care for that child every day, but leave the child at the end of the day and have no authority over how it's raised is cruel and thoughtless.  [/quote]
