Then, in order to stay at that rate, the nanny may need to do a share, since very few families start a new nanny at $22 per hour. This is one of the hard truths about nanny work. Raises earned through longevity in one job are not always matched by the starting compensation offered by a subsequent employer, so it is fairly common for nannies to take a pay cut when starting with a new family.[/quote]
