I found out that my live-in nanny is on Celexa. I know there are boundaries I need to respect, but I feel like I have the right to know if the woman who watches my children has a mental disorder. I'm a first-time mom, so maybe I'm being overprotective, but I think I should ask her the details. I'm a bit uneasy with the thought of someone with depression around small children.
Then you better keep 50% of the population away from your kid! Do you know how many people are on anti-depressants? Do you know how many moms and dads are on anti-depressants? Do you know how many daycare providers are on anti-depressants?
PP is right. You had better survey every parent in your child's class and every parent on your kid's soccer team. If they have ever been treated for any type of mental illness, they are totally unsafe and should not be allowed within a 50 ft radius of your widdle snowflake.
