Yes you’re with her kids all day, but I totally emphasize with your MB. You rush in, the kids have not seen you all day, so you are talking to them about their day, getting cuddles, looking at Misc drawings etc that they did, all while trying to send that stupid last email, mentally calculate if you need a present for the 75th kids party that you’re attending that year, and on and on and on. You have no idea of the weight of the ‘mental load’ that goes through a stressed out, working mom’s head - and your post is dripping with judgement and resentment,m.

Ugh, I would hate for you to be my nanny. As a mom, I have enough mom guilt, the last thing that I need is my nanny making judgmental comments to me making feel worse than I already do.

Let me reiterate, you get paid (and have been paid per your post) on time every Friday for your base salary. If I was your MB, I would negotiate that I would pay you for any OT, by 8am the following Monday. Your MB is wrong for not setting that expectation with you - I would not allow you to pressure me to make on the spot calculations to figure out how much I owe you as soon as I walk through the door on Friday evening - and since it’s OT pay and you make have worked some hours in that Friday, it’s bit something that’s could be easily calculated the night before.

Do both of you a favor and get another job ASAP.[/quote]
