I have been a nanny for over 18 years. Most children I have cared for have napped until 4. I wouldn't let a 2 yo or 3 yo not nap or at least have a down time.
Not your call. My youngest was ready to drop her nap at 3. I would have fired our nanny if she gave me a hard time about it as nanny’s feelings are secondary to my children’s well being. Instead, our wonderful nanny had activities - both quiet and active - planned for her afternoons. It doesn’t sound like OP has a nanny. Sounds to me like she has a housekeeper who babysits.
I am the person you replied to. The decisions I make as a professional nanny is only about the children's wellbeing, not my own. MOST kids who are 3 need a nap but indeed a few of them don't and you can't force them to sleep. But they'll need to have some quiet time in the afternoon so that you, as a parent, don't come home to a bouncing child :)
