Do you realize how many parents pay cash under the table? Yes, in this area. How exactly does that work when their laid off nanny files for her weekly unemployment check. Can't be good for the employer, can it?[/quote]

Since I've always paid legally, I have no idea, nor do I care that much. I suspect, that as with many things, the punishment is never as bad as people hope it would be. Likely just back taxes + penalties.[/quote]
