Current minimum wage in DC and MoCo is above $12/hr, so if you love there you'd have to be using no more than about 17 hours. It is true that you can deduct a minimal cost of room and board (not market rate, just actual expense) if an employee is live-in for her convenience and not yours. That would be hard to argue since living in is part of the program, but would increase the number of hours you could use for the current stipend.[/quote]
