^^ Apparently, it's a 2015 Audi A4.

I'd forget the warranty, order a head gasket, and put it on myself.... After I checked to make sure that it really WAS the head gasket. Never would I pay 5k to have someone do something that I could do for myself in just a few hours. This is why everyone needs to know how to work on their own vehicles, or if you aren't quite up to that, at least find a mechanic you can trust who won't charge you thousands of dollars to do a job that should cost no more than a couple of hundred. I'm assuming that, like your bosses, you're also not driving a Maserati.
What? Lol well as lovely as all of this sounds I am not doing anything to this car when it's still under warranty and no fault of my own. It's a 2015 Audi A4 and the dealer is taking care of it and loaned me another to drive in the meantime. My car is closer to being a Maserati than theirs are, not that it matters but since you brought it up. I have an Indy shop that specializes in Audi and vw but it's in another city and the dealership I bought it from was closer. If I'd taken it to them I also may have had to pay upfront and wait to be reimbursed. The most I would probably do to my own car is change the oil and flat tires.
So, why couldn't you afford a rental if you can afford this very expensive car?
