Of course she didn't. She's not a child and won't throw a tantrum. She certainly disappointed right now. Your end of the year bonus really should come at the holidays. But you can just let her know that you have always done bonuses at the end of the year vs at the holidays. Your last nanny didn't buy your children holiday presents?  It is pretty typical for nannies to buy gifts for their charges. Maybe next year you can do a nice card and a small gift. Let your children take part in it. I'd say you messed up pretty big.
