I earn much more than that. I was former nanny and now a Pharmacist. I made around 3-3500k/month. I now make 140/k a year. I'm doing fine, sweetheart. I worked exclusively with children from 0 - 3 years of age ( most around 0 - 12 months). It's not that hard of work. [/quote]

I was a career nanny initially but I left for a better job and income. Being a nanny is not a stable income. I was a nanny for 9 years. I worked with 3 families during that time. Very high-powered families. I was highly recommended and loved my job. As I matured, I realized I did not want to be stuck at a low wage job for life. I did not want to raise someone else kids after having my own. [b]I made 60k/year part-time[/b] after having my baby. We have a nanny and compensate her very well.

You seem to have learning to do. Just because someone moves to another career, it doesn't mean they weren't good at the former. It simply means they grew and matured past that. Being a nanny is a very isolating and complacent job. It's the same thing each day, with no advancements. You will never transition to a high paying job with only nanny experience. Go get a degree and get an education. One day you will be too old for a family and they will replace you with a younger nanny. Sad but true in the nanny world. [/quote]

As a Pharmacist, I make 140k/year, but I made 60k ( part-time) as a Pharmacist after having a baby. That was an example to show I still made nearly twice as much as I did in my nanny career, working part-time as a pharmacist. Now do you get it?

PP here. I'm not going to get into a battle on here. I spoke my opinion, and called that nanny out because she clearly needed a reading lesson. My nanny is English speaking, 10+ years of experience, and has a degree. We pay our nanny well. $20 take-home, plus OT, and bonuses. My husband makes 600k+, and we millions in our savings. We are doing just fine, with plenty to eat, and pay nannies. [/quote]

Wow. I astonished how you people are nannies but can't read. I didn't " to be a pharmacist after having kids". Pharmacy school takes 6-9 years, and the salary is way above 60k. A PharmD ( Doctorate of Pharmacy) makes roughly 140k per year. I went back to work part-time for 3 months after baby. My husband is an attorney, and a trust fund baby. I'm a big saver, and saved over 500k in 5 years. I also have a real nanny. She said he pay rate was $20 per hour. She is a good nanny to our 7-month-old.[/quote]
