Im the OP and I want to say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to the ones that gave me great ideas/suggestions to help me through this difficult situation. But also than you for sticking up for me. I didn't start this thread to offend anyone, nor did I say anything about expecting to get a nanny for free. I know that I would have to pay for someone to watch my child. I just know that I cant pay my whole salary to do that. Getting out of that abusive relationship was the hardest thing ive ever had to do. Yes, L/E's go through those kind of things too. You all have given me some great advice. I am looking into college students and I found a weekend home day care and the owner sounds very nice and accommodating and willing to work with me with the price. I just gotta stay strong for my son, that's all ive been doing since hes been in my belly. and for the trolls that had nothing but negative things to say and sarcasm ...go pick up a bible and read a few verses !!! cant believe the nerve of some of you!!!! ill pray for you trolls. and god forbid any of you get into a tough situation in your life and need help!
Good for you OP! Glad you got a bit of helpful advice here, and that you're finding a few solutions. Remember that these early young years are hard for everyone, and I don't know a single mother who doesn't struggle with childcare - it is unbelievably difficult on so many levels. But it does get easier. You sound like an amazing mother, and also a pretty great citizen also. I'm glad to have someone like you in our police force, and raising a boy. Hang in there.
sorry messed up the one above lol ok now you've made me tear up. you are very kind and I appreciate what you've been able to see just based off the little bit ive said in here. I really am a good mom I love my son more than life it self. I also love my community and I work hard everyday to keep people, other officers and myself safe . the level of difficulty being a female police officer and a single mom with no help from family or his father is unbelievable. It has to be god and my angels helping me through this because I don't know how I am able to do this everyday. My son is so happy and healthy. he has food in his belly, a roof over his head, clothes on his body and toys. hes a great kid and he makes me so proud. seriously unless you're in my shoes no one could fathom the daily struggle. I just need a lil help. May god bless you and thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement.
