Never say never.  I was like you. Then I got the shingles,  no fault of my own, and missed three weeks of work. Life happens and it's messy sometimes.  If you ever get an odd illness, or get in a car accident , you'll be eating your attitude with much humble pie. [/quote]

Actually,  I was a single mom and I worked incredibly hard for this family.  If I had quit, my daughter and I would have been homeless.  This family had back up care and treated me and my daughter like family -to the point that they are contributing to hear college fund. I moved on after two years because of the commute - which was affecting my job duties- but I still go over and cook and babysit. They still treat me like extended family.  Sometimes,  you get lucky. I'm really sorry that you haven't experienced this, nor know what it's like to be a struggling single parent.  My employers did and were kind. Also, they had a house guest who had never been vaccinated for chickenpox,  and was elderly,  so they had me stay out an extra week. In return,  I he led them throw a few parties later on that year.
Things can often be worked out. This is how human connections and bonds are formed. [/quote]
