What's the max number of children nanny might be responsible for on her own? Would it ever be all of them? Would your teen help? I frankly think it's overload for 99% of nannies. You want an exceptional nanny, so you need to offer an exceptional rate, $25-30/hr. I'd really like to know how even a parent could manage, and there's two high needs children in the family? A parent would most likely be winging it, one day at a time with lots of prayers. If you find someone who can "manage" the children, I'd call it a day, and not expect any additional tasks. How often does housekeeping come? Btw, I earn $25/hr for one very easy child.
Many nannies can "manage" 4 kids, even if one is an infant. Heck, even 5 kids with the 5th being a teen isn't terrible. OP can't afford $25-30/hour, and while she would get more candidates if she could offer that, it doesn't mean that she won't find someone if she offers $20/hour.
