Differs from nanny to nanny.

Micromanaging is the worst for most nannies.
WAH doesn't bother me, as long as they stick to the boundaries they set.  If the parent is constantly coming out of the office/basement, it's not going to work.
I agree with the clean environment.
Employment longevity is definitely one for me.
I don't mind pets, as long as they aren't disgustingly dirty.  If they aren't trained, I will train them, and the family pays extra for me to do so.  But that training means that the kids are also taught how to handle the animals.
I don't want infants under 6 months, every single time I tried, the mom micromanaged me, or wanted me to try something that would harm the baby.
I'm willing to negotiate compensation, and alternatives to a higher rate are sometimes acceptable.
Oh, and I recommend nanny cams.[/quote]
