Once I pointed out that it was in the contract and offered to provide my own hotspot if they were willing to take the rate up, they handed over the password.  It was my first position, so I only had tutoring references, and while I knew that I was living in for their convenience, it was worth it to have the pay docked $4/hour.  It still put me at just over minimum wage, and I was able to pay off a slew of college debts.[/quote]
