Making $25 here just outside DC proper for 2 kids, no special issues, no extra duties [no cleaning, no laundry, nothing], and I use my own car for driving with gas reimbursement on top of salary. Your over-generalizations aren't correct.[/quote]

Your single experience doesn't negate the average. Also, if you read correctly, you would find that multiple kids do command a higher rate, although rarely over $20/hr. The market is the market, and you are overpaid. Good for you.[/quote]
