I don't work with infants, and most toddlers aren't napping by the time I start working with them.  I've homeschooled children, I've been the household manager.  I've also been the nanny at the park on the phone while the kids played.  Three different moms came up to me to tell me that I was doing a horrible job.  Guess what?  I wasn't.  I knew where every one of my charges was, and I pointed out to one mom that her daughter was eating sand.  I was also trying to schedule someone to check the furnace, get the plumber to come get the earrings out of the drain that MB dropped, find out why the mower hadn't shown up and find someone to come spray the fire ants.  I knew what I was doing, I was talking to the children as needed, I stopped two for a break when they were overheating and needed water, and I still managed to also call my bank and inquire as to why there was a charge that I hadn't made.

OP has an issue with her nannies' usage, that doesn't mean that others need to jump on the bandwagon and judge all nannies, especially when you don't know why someone else is doing something.[/quote]
